Design of Dual-Polarized Magneto-Electric Dipole Antenna with Improved Gain

A new small size magneto-electric dipole antenna with high gain and dual-polarization is presented here. By bending the feeding probes, the connection on the patches is kept at the same level in order to ensure the consistency of two ports, and the introduction of metal back cavity effectively improves the gain of the antenna, hence the maximum gain can reach to about 10.49dBi, which is 0.42dBi higher than the structure without back cavity.
