An Improved ISRJ Based on Micro-Doppler Modulation

The false targets generated by traditional interrupted sampling repeater jamming (ISRJ) are evenly distributed in the radar echo range dimension and the power attenuation of the leading and lagging false target groups is fast, so they are easy to be eliminated by radar. To address the above problems, an ISRJ technique based on micro Doppler Modulation (mDM-ISRJ) is proposed. We establish a theoretical model for adding micro Doppler modulation to ISRJ and analyze the interference effect of mDM-ISRJ through simulation experiments. The results show that the proposed mDM-ISRJ can generate “surface” interference effect, and the amplitude of false target follows the Swerling fluctuation characteristic consistent with the real target, effectively improving the jamming efficiency of ISRJ.
