Analysis of Low-Frequency Wave Propagation in the Ground-Ionosphere Waveguide Transition Region with Parallel DGTD

Aiming at the propagation of low-frequency electromagnetic waves in the ground-ionosphere waveguide containing the diurnal transition region, this paper establishes an ideal propagation model, calculates the wave transmission model in the TM wave case in the ground-ionosphere waveguide using the discontinuous Galerkin time domain (DGTD) method. In addition, the effect of the change of the transceiver position on the transmission is analyzed. To address the problems of large electromagnetic computation and low computational efficiency, this paper investigates the OpenMP acceleration algorithm of DGTD, and takes the DGTD simulation calculation of electromagnetic wave propagation in the ground-ionosphere waveguide transition region as an example to realize the multi-threaded parallelization of cell iteration. The results of the algorithm show that the parallel technique used in this paper can effectively improve the computational efficiency.
