Effect of Ionospheric Electron Density Model on Loran C Sky Wave Propagation

In this paper, the difference of amplitude and time delay of Loran C sky wave are analyzed when different models are used to predict the electron density in the D region of the ionosphere. The simulation results show that when the incident angle is 80°, the difference of reflected signal amplitude between different models is 7dB, and the time delay is 2.15 μs.
