Spatial Correlation of the Radiation Field from the Two-dimensional Coincidence Imaging Radar

In this paper, the spatial correlation function of a two-dimensional CIR (2D-CIR) with stochastic phase modulation is investigated. Firstly, the signal model and the coincidence imaging model based on array theory are established. Secondly, the spatial correlation function and the radiation power distribution of the reference fields are derived. Then, the relationship between the range of the modulated phase and the correlation function is analyzed. It shows that the phase modulation range of 2π is essential to ensure the performance of the 2D-CIR. Lastly, numerical simulations are conducted to validate the derivation of the correlation of the reference fields.
