A Study of 100ns double beam bunch distribute system for SXFEL

To improve the utilization efficiency of the linear accelerator, Shanghai Soft X-ray Free-Electron Laser (SXFEL), plans to upgrade to double bunch mode with a bunch time separation of 100 ns and a maximum repetition rate of 50 Hz. A new beam distribute system is designed to separate the 100 ns beam bunch by bunch. The beam distribute system consists of four kicker magnets and one septum magnets. This paper presents the design of beam bunch distribute system.
