Vortex Wave Multi-Mode OAM Spectrum Conversion Method Through Metasurface

Electromagnetic vortex waves carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) can be used for information multiplexing transmission or coded modulation, which can meet the requirements of large capacity and high rate wireless communication. In this paper, the metasurface with independent amplitude and phase manipulation ability is proposed as the OAM mode converter of the vortex wave with multiple OAM modes, and the feasibility of this method is proved by simulation verification. This method can not only realize the OAM mode spectrum conversion from single mode to multiple modes, but also the conversion from multiple modes OAM spectrum to another different OAM spectrum, and for the converted OAM spectrum, the isolations between the main OAM modes and the crosstalk OAM mode is more than 10dB, with a good isolation performance.
