A Vertical Polarized Electromagnetic Pulse Simulator for HEMP Scaled Model Test

A test system consists of a vertical polarized electromagnetic pulse simulator and corresponding wideband electronic field sensor is built for scaled model high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) test. Numerical simulation and measurement results of the field generated by the simulator are compared to verify the capability of the system. Possible applications of the system are analyzed based on the theoretical basis.
