Spatially Adaptive Beamforming Based on Time-Modulated Programmable Metasurface

This paper discusses a spatially adaptive beamforming method based on time-modulated programmable metasurface. The time-modulated array technology is combined with programmable metasurface and the multibeam characteristic of time-modulated array is utilized. Adaptive beamforming is realized by changing the opening and closing time of the channel switch of the metasurface unit, and the orientation pattern of the fundamental and harmonic components of the time-modulated array points to different directions in space under a specific modulation sequence.
