Research on the Application of Image Processing Technology in Vehicle License Plate Recognition

With the development of artificial intelligence, image recognition technology has been applied to various aspects of life, such as license plate recognition. License plate recognition has many application scenarios in real life, but due to various interferences in daily life, the accuracy of license plate recognition is often affected. In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of license plate recognition, we need to integrate image processing technology into license plate image recognition pre-processing technology, and use Gaussian filter, grayscale, binarization to complete license plate image pre-processing, so as to reduce the interference of objective conditions on license plate recognition efficiency. Through experiments, we know that using image recognition technology can reduce the computational power consumption of license plate recognition systems, improve image recognition efficiency and accuracy.
