Design of Dashboard for Final Examination Moderation Reports

In higher education, exam paper moderation is the process of evaluating question papers based on specific criteria. With the emergence of online moderation, little research has been conducted on effective data visualization methods. This paper presents a novel approach to this challenge, introducing a dashboard designed for exam question moderation using Looker. This innovative tool monitors the submission of moderation reports, highlights key information related to courses, and provides an overview of the course taxonomy distribution. Data for the dashboard is collected from program-level sources and Google Forms. The dashboard consists of four pages, each with a specific purpose, including monitoring moderation report submissions, presenting exam information, listing course information, and displaying a stacked bar chart of Bloom’s taxonomy categories for each course. The dashboard has been successfully used for four consecutive semesters at the program level, proving to be an effective tool for facilitating the exam question moderation process. This practical application and validation of the proposed solution add significant value to the paper.
