Optimized Fuzzy PID Based HSAPF with PQ Enrichment

This manuscript exhibits an Optimised Fuzzy PID based Hybrid Shunt Active Power Filter (HSAPF) for reparation of reactive power and harmonics. Here a hybrid arrangement of shunt passive and active filter is taken because Passive Filter (PF) is being bulky and complex design and Active Filter (AF) is not cheap for higher rating. ) theory, in the proposed method load current sensing is not required. To estimate the maximum of the current reference of HSAPF, a unique Fuzzy PID controller is used, and its gains are tuned by Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO)algorithm, taking into account integral of time biased absolute error. A choice of parameters such as Input Power Factor (IPF), Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) are evaluated during simulation, and the anticipated system is verified at transient and steady state condition, for Optimized Fuzzy PID Controller (OFPIDC) and Optimized PID Controller (OPIDC) used for generation of current reference.
