An Optimized Dynamic Disperse and Shrink Anti-Collision Algorithm for UHF RFID

Multi-tag identification is one of the research hotspots in the field of RFID. Collision occurs when two or more tags send response simultaneously to the reader. Lack of efficient anti-collision mechanism results in low tag identifying performance. This paper proposes an optimized dynamic disperse and shrink algorithm (ODDS), which dynamically adjusts the timeslot value of the tags to enable rapid tag access. The instructions in the ODDS algorithm are concise, improving the UHF RFID system's implementation ability, and achieving better anti-collision efficiency without increasing the complexity of tag implementation.
