Design of Hybrid Continuous Class F Doherty Power Amplifier

This article designs an F-class Doherty amplifier in mixed continuous operation mode. By improving the drain voltage equation on the basis of continuous F-class power amplifiers, it maintains high efficiency characteristics in a wide range of impedance space. Combining the Doherty structure, the traditional 1/4 wavelength impedance variation line is removed, and a smaller power amplifier impedance is pulled. A Chebyshev low-pass filter is used to achieve input and output matching circuit, and a step impedance form of post matching circuit is used to improve saturation efficiency and bandwidth.
