An Investigation of Inbound Process Optimization using Flexsim: A Case Study of J E-commerce Platform

This research aims to optimize the inbound process of J e-commerce platform using the Flexsim simulation software. Firstly, the current inbound process was analyzed and evaluated, revealing the existence of complex procedures and inefficient operations. Subsequently, a series of optimization schemes were proposed based on the business requirements and ESIA methodology. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the new process were verified through Flexsim simulation experiments. The results indicate that the final improvement scheme could increase the warehousing efficiency by approximately 50%, demonstrating the capability of the new process in improving operation efficiency, reducing costs, shortening the cycle, and achieving the purpose of warehousing process optimization. Overall, this study provides a comprehensive and practical approach for the optimization of the inbound process in the e-commerce industry.
