Comparative analysis and simulation of LNG leakage and diffusion under different wind speeds

This article focuses on the changes in LNG concentration under different wind speed levels and atmospheric stability levels. Emulation program is used to conduct leakage and diffusion simulation analysis, and the range impact brought by LNG under different conditions is obtained. It is concluded that when closer to the leakage source, the higher the wind speed and LNG concentration, the greater the safety hazards; When the distance from the leakage source exceeds a certain distance, the higher the wind speed, the lower the LNG concentration. The atmospheric stability has little impact on the changes in LNG concentration. The more stable the atmosphere, the higher the LNG concentration, and the greater the potential safety hazards. Exploring the impact of ground roughness on LNG gas diffusion, keeping other conditions unchanged, and simulating ground roughness, the simulation shows that the impact of ground roughness is relatively small. This simulation experiment provides certain theoretical support for leak handling and safety prevention in the actual situation of LNG powered ship leakage.
