Research on Container Throughput Prediction of Chongqing Port Based on Shipping Network

Port throughput forecasting is an important port development and planning reference index. The container throughput of Chongqing port and its influencing factors are analyzed, and a shipping network-based container throughput forecasting method is proposed. Grey correlation analysis is conducted based on the historical data of container throughput of Chongqing port from 2010 to 2020.BP neural network forecasting method is applied to achieve static forecasts of the container throughput of the Chongqing port. A shipping network centered on Chongqing Port is established based on the container route data of Chongqing Port and surrounding ports. Thus, the dynamic prediction value of the container throughput of Chongqing Port is calculated according to the shipping network circle index. The shipping network-based port container throughput forecasting algorithm could objectively reflect the correction of port throughput by regional development.
