Research on Parking Sharing Choice Model in Residential Areas Considering Psychological Latent Variables

In order to fully explore and optimize the free parking resources in urban residential areas, improve the utilization rate of parking and alleviate the problem of “difficult parking”, this paper considered the influence of psychological latent variables and added them to the traditional discrete choice model to study the shared choice behavior of parking in urban residential areas from the perspective of parking sharing supply side. A questionnaire was used to obtain data on individual socioeconomic attributes, parking attributes and psychological characteristics of parking sharing choice behavior. Based on the theory of planned behavior, four psychological latent variables, namely behavioral attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control and behavioral intention, are selected as observed variables and the relationship between individual socioeconomic attributes and the latent variables is described by building a structural equation model and substituting them as observed variables into the traditional discrete choice model to form a hybrid choice model. The results show that the four psychological latent variables of behavioral attitudes have some influence on parking sharing choice behavior, and the hybrid choice model considering the psychological latent variables has a better fit than the traditional discrete choice model. The findings and methodology of the paper can provide a basis for the development of residential parking sharing policies and can provide a reference for similar studies.
