A Leaf Shaped Patch Antenna for Wideband Applications

. The impact of incorporating a Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR) and Defected Ground Structure (DGS) on a Leaf shaped patch antenna is analyzed. Ultra-wideband with CP is obtained for the proposed design. Obtained bandwidth is 15GHz (4.12GHz to 19.12GHz), and the CP bandwidth is 290MHz with a peak gain of 6.44 dBi at 14.84 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed for UWB, C, X, and Ku bands. It is useful in Satellite and radar applications. Simulations are carried out using Ansys High-Frequency structure simulator.
