A New Distributed Air Balancing Method With Energy Saving Constraint Strategy

In addressing the problem that existing air balancing methods do not take much consideration of the energy consumption of ventilation systems, this paper proposes a distributed air balancing method with energy saving constraints. Firstly, an air balancing model with energy saving constraints is developed by analyzing the physical model of the ventilation system. Then, given that the number of optimization variables increases with the number of regions, it is proposed a distributed implementation of the corresponding model. To verify the proposed method, experiments are performed on a ventilation system simulation platform with five terminals to compare with existing air balancing methods, and the results show that the proposed method provides a smaller energy consumption of the ventilation system in achieving air balancing.
