Power Quality Compensation Strategy for Transition Structure of Advanced Traction Power Supply System

A power quality compensation strategy for transition structure of advanced traction power supply system (ATPSS) is proposed this paper. Firstly, the transition structure of ATPSS is designed, and after structural analysis and mathematical model establishment for the transition structure, the negative sequence grid-side of the transition structure under different operating conditions are analyzed. Then focusing on the negative sequence power quality issue, negative sequence compensation strategy is investigated to ensure the grid-side power quality. Finally, simulations and experimental results verify the correctness of the analysis for power quality problems and the effectiveness of negative sequence compensation control strategy.
