HFSS Enables the Simulation of Electromagnetic Pulses and Predicts its Effects

We have considered a full-wave threedimensional transient simulation of EMP propagation and interaction in real-time. Also, we have adopted a hybrid approach by combining a full-wave frequency domain simulation with the circuit where the EMP exposure has been accounted for through the scattering parameters. This hybrid approach greatly reduces the solve time and provides highfidelity simulations of induced voltage or current across any component, which otherwise would have been difficult. Any geometry can be modeled for real-life applications, and frequency-dependent material properties can be considered. A comprehensive study illustrating various real-life case studies will be presented.
