Study on Reactive Power Compensation Scheme of Brazil Potential 1000kV Ultra-High Voltage Alternating Current (UHV AC) Transmission Project

Based on Brazil potential 1000kV UHV AC Transmission Project system scheme from Milagres to Itabira, the generalized natural power, reactive power balance and reactive power demand analysis method for UHV AC transmission project are discussed firstly, then the main principles and the complete and systematic general process of UHV AC reactive power compensation analysis are presented for the first time. Based on which, the charging power of Brazil UHV transmission project and generalized natural power analysis considering reactive power compensation scheme are offered. Finally, combined with the latest engineering practice, the economic analysis of reactive power compensation schemes is carried out.
