Day-ahead Operation Optimization of Energy-intensive Enterprise Considering the Stepped Carbon Trading Mechanism

Under the "dual carbon" background, to reduce the carbon emissions of energy-intensive enterprises and improve the energy efficiency, a day-ahead operation strategy of low carbon economy is proposed. Firstly, it takes into account the energy purchased from the upper grid, the operation process of P2G (power to gas), and introduces a stepped carbon trading mechanism to effectively reduce carbon emissions from the perspective of the enterprise. Secondly, it forecasts the daily carbon emissions of an enterprise based on historical electricity metering data and carbon emission factors. Finally, the goal to obtain the minimum daily total operation cost and reduce carbon emissions is achieved by using CPLEX commercial solver. Different cases are verified to test the proposed method, and numerical results demonstrate that the method can reduce carbon emissions by 9.3% for energy-intensive enterprises while considering the operating costs.
