Research on Electromagnetic Protection of Grounding Wire Repair Robot

The Ground inspection robot is a robot used for the maintenance of UHV overhead transmission line. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, safety, and reliability, and can independently complete the repair task of ground wires. However, there are strong electromagnetic interference in the working environment of the ground wire repair robot, which will seriously affect the operation and maintenance effectiveness of the robot. Therefore, the electromagnetic protection of the grounding wire repair robot was studied and discussed. The electromagnetic environment characteristics of the grounding wire repair robot are diverse, mainly including a variety of interference sources such as high-voltage DC transmission lines, AC power supplies, signal transmission lines, mechanical equipment, and so on. This article summarizes electromagnetic interference sources and interference paths, arc discharge characteristics, analysis methods of induced arc discharge interference, conducted interference, and cable coupling analysis. A series of electromagnetic protection measures need to be taken to solve the electromagnetic protection problem of the grounding wire repair robot. Firstly, shielding measures can be applied to the electronic equipment of the robot, including metal shielding, electromagnetic shielding, cable shielding, and so on. Secondly, grounding measures can be taken, including good grounding and anti-static measures. In addition, isolation measures can also be adopted, including power isolation, signal isolation, etc., to reduce electromagnetic interference. In summary, the electromagnetic protection problem of the grounding wire repair robot is a complex issue that needs to be studied and discussed from the perspectives of electromagnetic environment characteristics, electromagnetic interference sources and interference paths, arc discharge characteristics, analysis methods of induced arc discharge interference, conducted interference, and cable coupling analysis. Only by taking scientific electromagnetic protection measures can the normal operation and maintenance effect of the grounding wire repair robot be guaranteed.
