Measurement and Analysis on Time Correlation of Wireless Channel in Tunnel Entrance Scenarios

Railway passengers have experienced call dropping or Internet disconnect when the train goes through tunnels, which significantly affects train-ground communication quality of railway mobile communications. In this paper, the channel characteristics of the time correlation function are analyzed based on measurements in tunnel entrance scenarios. The analysis results of this paper show that the channel characteristics of tunnel entrance scenarios and single scenarios are different. Therefore, the channel model of tunnel entrance scenarios can not be replaced by which of tunnels. Also, the conclusion that the channel characteristics are influenced by the location of the antenna can be used in future system design.
