Mutual Coupling Reduction via Concentric SRR Wall for MIMO Antenna Systems

In this work, a multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna array with a mutual coupling reduction is suggested using meta-surface (concentric SRR wall). The proposed MIMO array is consisting of 2*2 conventional 2.4 GHz rectangular patches. The concentric SRR wall structure is utilized and integrated into the middle of the spaces between every two patches. The proposed arrays are simulated utilizing the CST studio simulator. The output performance parameters show the impact of using one, and two concentric SRR lines wall. Using the proposed design minimizes the mutual coupling.
