A Full-Duplex MIMO Antenna for Integrated Sensing and Communication

This paper proposed a full-duplex antenna for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) communication that applies circularly-polarization for transmitting and linearly-polarization for receiving, respectively. With this non-orthogonal Tx and Rx polarization, it is useful for applications of integrated sensing and communication, as well as producing simplified residual coupling signals. By incorporating resonance structures and decoupling networks, residual coupling signals could be easily eliminated. The proposed antenna comprises two channels constructed on a 2-by-3 patch array within an aperture of

. Simulation results show that it achieved both MIMO and duplex isolation more than 59 dB, as well as realized gain of 5.92 dBi for Tx and 10.43 dBi for Rx over a 130 MHz band centered at 5.8 GHz.
