Bianisotropic Susceptibility Theory of Artificial Magnetic Conductors

Over the past 30 years, Artificial Magnetic Conductors (AMCs) have generated immense interest in the microwave community. However, their description has been restricted to crude RLC design or subsidiary transmission-line network modelling. This paper introduces an electromagnetic theory of AMCs in terms of bianisotropic susceptibilities. This theory will be completed by precise explanations of the corresponding dipolar responses in generic AMC structures that will be presented at the conference.
