An Invasive Weed Optimized Parasitic-Loaded 6-Elements Symmetric Sequential Array for Automotive Applications

Sequential arrays are particularly lightweight and easy to manufacture, hence at a premium in vehicular communications, yet their design is more demanding than a conventional corporate feed array. In this contribution a symmetric, center-fed, sequential array of 6 patch radiators, loaded with parasites to enhance gain is optimized via the use of a multi-objective invasive weed optimizer.
