Design Modelling and Performance Analysis of Impressive Tin Based Perovskite Solar Cell

The performance parameters of lead-free organometallic solar harvester TCO/PCBM/MASnI
3
/CuI/Au are investigated using SCAPS-1D simulator. Absorber layer’s thickness, acceptor density, and total defect density (DD) have been simulated and analyzed. The DD of the interface between transport layers and absorber layer has been examined. The performance metrics of the proposed configuration with temperature has also been recorded by simulation and further investigated. The optimum result obtained for this simulation model are open circuit voltage (V
oc
) = 0.978 V, short circuit current density (J
sc
) = 34.74 mA/cm
²
, and fill factor (FF) = 76.85 %. The simulation results also indicate that for a lead-free absorber with thickness of 1.1 µm will produce power conversion efficiency (PCE) equal to 26.11 %.
