Review and prospect of flexible perovskite solar cells

Metal halide perovskite solar cells have become representatives of emerging photovoltaic power generation technology due to their high power conversion efficiency, low cost and simple manufacturing. So far, perovskite solar cells with power conversion efficiencies of more than 25% have been achieved on rigid substrates, which can be attributed to many important advances made in the optimization of materials (including both perovskite and charge transport materials) and device fabrication processes. Compared with traditional (rigid) perovskite solar cells, flexible perovskite solar cells (FPSCs) have many advantages, such as light weight and high power-to-weight ratio, which attracted many researchers. However, at this stage, their efficiency and stability are still lag behind that of their rigid counterpart. In this paper, we will introduce the key progresses for FPSCs, and follow by discuss the problems for the commercialize the technology, and will finish with prospect the further development and application of FPSCs.
