Measurement of Implus Surface Flashover Voltage of Epoxy Resin in Liquid Nitrogen

With the development of superconducting power devices, the research of the characteristics of surface flashover of insulation materials in low-temperature environments is getting increasingly important. In this paper, the flashover voltage along the surface of epoxy resin in liquid nitrogen were measured. The first flashover voltage along the surface at different spacings were measured by using ring-ring electrodes, this paper analyzed the experimental results by the method of Weibull distribution, which leads to the relationship between the flashover voltage along the impact surface and the creepage distance for 0.1% flashover probability of epoxy resin. This can provide a reference for the insulation design of superconducting power devices.
