A Low Complexity ICI Mitigation Processing for OFDM Radar

Conventional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radar shows serious performance degradation, in the presence of intercarrier interference (ICI). In this paper, we presented a repeated symbol scheme and Doppler compensation based on a modified DFT in OFDM radar, to resolve the ICI problem in achieving the high resolution range profile (HRRP) of the extend targets. The Doppler robustness of the proposed method creates new possibilities for system parameterization. Simulation results are provided to show that the proposed scheme is superior to the classical signal processing in improving HRRP performance.
