UAV Location Model Based on Triangulation Method

This paper aims to solve the problem of azimuth-only passive positioning of UAV in formation flight. Based on sine theorem, distance formula between two points and circumferential Angle theorem, the triangulation location model of passive receiving UAV is established. At the same time, the method of determining circular coordinates and radius by three points on the plane is used to define the error expression of the adjustment scheme. Finally, the analytical expression of UAV position coordinate and the scheme of the least number of UAV transmitting signal are obtained. The improved position estimation and the adjustment scheme with minimum error are obtained. This paper provides a solution for solving the problem of azimuth-only passive positioning of UAVs.
