A Singularity on Metasurface Excited by Linear Polarization

A study on non-Hermitian physics via metasurfaces always requires tuning the gain or loss term in a coupling system to observe singularities. But the structures of passive metasurfaces are fixed, once they are fabricated. In this paper, we propose a new method to adjust the balance of gain and loss to realize non-Hermitian phenomena, it provides a new perspective on non-Hermitian phenomena in metasurfaces.
