Study on planting suitability and planting structure optimization of fruit trees in Xinjiang

With climate change and population growth, fruit tree farming in Xinjiang has become the focus of agricultural development in the region. However, Xinjiang fruit tree industry zoning characteristics are not prominent, the overall development of the industry to promote the ability to promote weak. In this study, we combined the climate, soil, topography and human activity data required for the growth and development of fruit trees, selected the Maxent species prediction model, optimized the model parameters, clarified the dominant factors affecting the distribution of 10 typical tree species in Xinjiang and the suitability delineation thresholds, predicted the potential fitness zones of fruit trees in Xinjiang, obtained the suitable planting areas of different species of fruit trees, proposed corresponding optimization strategies, and delineated the industrial zones for fruit tree planting in Xinjiang. The results indicate that: (1) Among the main environmental factors affecting the distribution of potentially suitable areas for fruit trees in Xinjiang, in descending order of contribution: bioclimatic factors > human activity factors > natural factors; (2) The high suitability areas for fruit tree planting in Xinjiang are mainly distributed in the circum-Tarim Basin, the Ili Valley, the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain and the Tuha Basin, while the low suitability areas are widely distributed, mainly around the high and medium suitability areas. (3) Xinjiang fruit tree planting industry should focus on the spatial layout and gradually optimize, in the time layout in an orderly manner to promote the development of scientific and reasonable planning on the basis of development. The research results have important reference values for the management and planning of fruit tree planting in Xinjiang.
