Thermo-elastic Martensitic transformation in off-stoichiometric Co2Fe0.5Ti0.5Si quaternary Heusler alloy thin films

Si (CFTS) Heusler alloy thin films. CFTS thin films of 100 nm thickness were deposited on Si (100) substrate at different substrate temperatures (Ts) 350°C, 450°C and 500°C by ultra-high vacuum magnetron sputtering technique. Depending upon their growth conditions and stoichiometry, CFTS films exhibit thermo-elastic martensitic phase transformations. The begin and end martensitic and austenite transformation temperatures change with deposition conditions. The magneto-transport properties depend sensitively on the fraction of martensitic and austenite phases.
