Abstract:

The realization of ISO-15118-based electric vehicle (EV) charging communication makes complete the economic profit brought by EVs. In the standardized timeout rule, the latency of message exchange between the EV and charging station shall be lower than the threshold. We implement ISO-15118- based communication and measure the latency under different numbers of coexistent access point users. Experiment results present the user coexistence's effect on latency. We analyze the reason for potential timeout occurrence and provide suggestions about ISO-15118-based communication in the future.
