Road Damage Detection Using Deep Learning and Cloud Platforms

The main goal of our paper is about using smartphones to detect road damage conditions. The proposed system contains three parts, including mobile application, road damage detection, and cloud computation. The mobile application was developed to send photos captured by the user to the cloud server. The cloud server would perform AI algorithms to detect and classify road damage conditions and send the data to the database. Moreover, this application would show the statistical results to the user through a simple user interface. The developed system would benefit road damage detection in a simple and low-cost way.
