An Assessment of Key Factors to Establishing Smart Hospitals

In this study, an AHP framework of research was built by Analytic Hierarchy Process, based on which design contents of questionnaires were formed. The 71 questionnaires were administered among executive officers, doctors, pharmacists, professional nurses and dentists at hospitals as well as hospital researchers or expert. The Expert Choice software findings of this study indicated that the key factors of smart hospital are "AI", "service technology innovation", "management information system", A Cyber-Physical System" and "IoT".Taiwan features an advantage for smart hospital, because it is easier in terms of smart hospital decision than large nations regarding the enhancement of medical quality and control of patients’ safety [1]. It is thus the objective of this paper to look into the election of key factors to successful introduction of smart hospital from the perspective of technological innovation, a study aiming to benefit more patients.
