The Effect of Elementary School Parent-Teacher Communication Involved by Chatbot Technology

Advance with times, it has been a modern trend in education for parents to participate in school education affairs. Parents are no longer bystanders in education. It makes parent-teacher communication gradually become frequent and unavoidable, especially in the first stage of formal basic education (elementary school). Parent-teacher interaction will greatly affect children's growth and learning development. In this paper, it tends to build an automated interactive system by using chat robot technology to help parents and teachers communicate effectively. Parents can use this proposed system to understand their children's campus life and participate in teachers' class management, such as inquiring about children's homework, academic performance, learning status, school activities, and so on. This way for automatic parent-teacher interaction not only reduces the burden on teachers in communication, but also can solve parents' questions instantly and conveniently. So that, both parents and teachers can get closer and strengthen each other's consensus on education.
