Synthesis of the Calibration Algorithm of the Microwave Signal Power Meter

The main problem in measuring equipment is to maintain the stability of the main parameters when external factors change. Calibration is most often used, but some difficulties arise when using it. With a wide range of measured parameters and high accuracy it is required to store a large amount of calibration data. This article discusses the main reasons for changing the output signal level of the sensor element of the power meter. The temperature and frequency dependences of the chip of the logarithmic detector used to measure the power of the microwave signal are experimentally obtained. A new method of the calibration algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm makes it possible to correct the deviation of the sensor readings with an accuracy of up to 1%. The main advantage of the algorithm is its low memory size requirements, which makes it possible to use a wide range of microcontrollers for data processing.
