Pilot Spectrometric Investigations of Chromophores in Biologically Active Zones Areas

The results of spectrometric investigations of chromophores in biologically active zones areas irradiated through “UFS-1” optical filter is considered. It has been revealed that in those zones optical absorption and re-radiation effects are clearly manifested, each biologically active zone having its unique stimulated luminescence spectrum that differs from stimulated luminescence spectrum of neutral zones. Reflection from the biologically active zones of the stimulating radiation within the registered optical wavelengths range, 380–410 nm, has not been detected. The stimulated luminescence in those zones is observed in the range 420–460 nm, that, supposedly, might be attributed to collagen and elastin chromophores showing absorption in the range 300–340 nm. It has been found melanin chromophore spectra with maximum absorption at 350–500 nm and fluorescence at 460–615 nm. The neutral zones located far from biologically active zones ensure only reflection in the wavelength range of stimulating radiation; chromophores for them have not been detected within the optical spectrum.
