Development of a System for Rapid Assessment of the Dynamics of the Inflammatory Process of Periodontal Tissues

The paper describes the developed joulmetric information-measuring system designed for rapid assessment of the dynamics of the inflammatory process of periodontal tissues. A study was conducted in which 14 people with a confirmed diagnosis of apical periodontitis participated. The authors have developed the composition and structure of the system for assessing the condition of periodontal tissues in chronic apical periodontitis. The system includes: a specialized sensor consisting of active and passive electrodes, an input pulse generation unit, an interelectrode voltage measurement unit, and a personal computer containing a program for setting the input pulse and subsequent data processing. The relationship between joulmetric parameters and changes in periodontal tissues was revealed. Each of the included in the study group was made four measurements with an interval of seven days. As a result, the following data were obtained. During the first visit to the dentist, the average value of the current work in the group was

. As a result of the experiment, it was found that the stabilization of the measured parameter after the treatment at values of 20-25% of the parameter value before the start of treatment can serve as a guideline for the appointment of permanent root canal obturation.
