Ranging and Channel Access Protocol for Ultra-Wideband Mesh Swarm Networks

In this paper, an effective method for mesh ranging and a channel access algorithm for the ranging method to work effectively are presented. Simulation results show that the proposed methods require less number of packets for ranging and have higher transmission success ratio than the algorithms given in the current IEEE 802.15.4 standards.
