Designing a Robust Model of a Linear Motion-driven Harvester

We discuss the application potential of motion energy in power harvesting research, presenting theoretical models to describe the energy transformation. These models are supported by theoretical and experimental results obtained via designing a robust motion source that relies on a primarily linear arrangement of the motion drive system. The core design is numerically modeled and analyzed; these steps are then followed by the development of an experimental setup that verifies the functionality of the concept and allows us to establish whether the parameters can be achieved with available materials. The scaled-down basic model and was tested and then compared with the theoretical analyses.
