Mathematical Modelling of Mitigating Channel Fading in Vehicular Information Propagation

Various investigations have concentrated on Transmission ability of Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) that includes two major challenges: insufficiency in modelling realistic approach by reducing characteristics of vehicles and lacks in considering consequences of distributed channel access approaches used by IEEE 802.11p. In this work, vehicle movement model is provided to determine vehicle distributions and distributed channel access linearly VANET model is examined. In contrast to prevailing approaches, tighter transmission ability in case of fading scenario is also determined. Moreover, under large-scale fading, a primary expression of transmission ability that fits dense/sparse vehicle environments and bounded computation is also carried out. Simulation was carried out in MATLAB environment, where deficiency of existing model is addressed and shows better trade of when compared to prevailing approaches.
