Portable Air Purifier Merged with Health Monitoring System for Excavation Grounds Using IoT

Air Quality Index has become a major important necessity for citizens all over the world. The drivers working in mining and construction sites work for long hours and also at times it is highly polluted around the surrounding environments. The air quality inside the cabin is polluted and deteriorated It might cause many health issues related to breathing and heart-related problems and also causes fatigueness to the driver. There are many circumstances under which accidents might take place. It is necessary to take care of the driver's health condition in order to avoid accidents. In order to overcome this problem, there is a solution which is called the Smart Air Quality Detector and Purifier. The prototype works inside the driver's cabin in a contained environment. Its method of working is that it pulls the air in that contained environment and then purifies the air using the HEPA (High-Efficiency Pollution Absorbing) filters and activated carbon filters. In the compartment where the air is absorbed inside and the chamber where the air is purified and let out there will be a sensor to detect the air quality index of the air. The sensor is known as Gas Sensor (MQ135) which will be placed at the places mentioned in the previous sentences. From this, the air is purified and the air quality index is verified in the driver's cabin. Also, additionally, a health monitoring system is included, to monitor the health conditions of the driver like heartbeat rate, recognition of SpO2 level, etc. To design the prototype the main component required is an Arduino Uno board, a gas sensor, and a Wi-Fi module. The main advantage of this project is that it runs only on battery and consumes less power.
