An Effective Method to Detect Malware Files with Yara Using RaspberryPi

Cybersecurity is designed to protect networks and devices from external threats. The research is about analyzing files by Yara in raspberry pi. For analyzing a virus file the proposed methodology used online tool. The malware files are uploaded for analyzing the sniffed backend data. In response to this threat, the proposed method has created a web application-based YARA tool for analyzing files. YARA is a swiss knife of malware analyzing and detecting. It detects the malware by a set of rules created by security professionals and independent security researchers. It finds the malware files by pattern matching with YARA rules and it shows what type of malware and rules. For using this web application within an organization, the research used raspberry pi to deploy it cost-effectively. In this proposed methodology, front end is used for uploading files and the analyzing process is performed in backend. Finally it gives warning about the malware files. For front end the HTML and CSS are used and in back end python and flask were used in which yara rule is applied in python and flask. The method effectively detect the malware files and enables high security.
